St. Matthew’s Parish School invites students entering Grades 3-7 to embark on a STEAM journey through the galaxy and the halls of Hogwarts during our 2023 Summer Session Enrichment Program. Even students who are unfamiliar with Harry Potter and Star Wars stories will be intrigued by the narrative of each session's activities. Students that have been through the programs before, will advance in levels, experiencing new opportunities for learning and leadership growth.
During Session 1, June 27 - July 8, students will enter the Jedi Academy, using not only the Force, but a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematical tools to create their own Star Wars-inspired fantasy world. Young Jedis should come prepared to use their creativity and imagination to build, explore, experiment, and develop out of this world characters and technologies. Session 1 includes daily swimming!
During Session 2, July 11-22, students will become Hogwarts students, attending workshops inspired by the Harry Potter series. Electronics, Chemistry, Fine Arts, Woodworking, Cooking, Sports, and much more will integrate into experiences such as Potions Class, Wizard's Chess, and Quidditch. Session 2 includes daily swimming!

Calling all young actors, dancers, and singers! Please join us for Theatre Zone and be ready to play, have fun and get creative. We will divide every class between entertaining improvisational games, scene study from different plays, design elements such as masks, set plans, and costumes, and you will also learn choreography to famous songs from different musicals. We will build a tool kit of theatre skills and weave it all together into a culminating performance for family and friends. We will create new memories while exploring the magic of theatre! This class will be taught by Mrs. Juelis, one of the St. Matthew's Third Grade teachers and a musical theater expert, and Mrs. Gaskill, St. Matthew's drama teacher, and performing-arts coordinator.
