The Morning Program
8:45am - 11:50am
Join Ms. Luppen, Ms. Carter, and other St. Matthew's teachers this summer for a fun, engaging introduction to the Kindergarten program. Using our classroom and campus as a home base, we will focus on the project based learning model that will incorporate hands-on activities every day. Each week will focus on a theme and each theme will have special math, science, art, reading, and writing activities. Kindergarteners will use a project-based learning model that blends academics, creativity, and exploration!
There will also be plenty of time for outdoor play in the Kindergarten play yard. Permeating the entire Kindergarten experience is a strong emphasis on developing social skills, problem-solving, and adapting to the new routines at the Kindergarten grade level.
The Afternoon Program
11:50am - 3:00pm
The Kindergarten Afternoon Program will give children an opportunity to participate in exciting thematic activities that include movement, drama, art, cooking, science, and music. Students will have a rest time and enjoy literature, group games, and outdoor play. Students will also swim in our fabulous outdoor pool, supervised by a certified instructor, the classroom teacher, and student aides.
