Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood Summer Enrichment Program takes full advantage of St. Matthew’s beautiful park-like setting. Carefully designed activities and a generous teacher-student ratio provide for the young child’s enjoyment, growth, and safety at all times. The summer program provides a comfortable transition between the child’s familiar program of the past year and the new challenge of the year to come. At both levels, adventures in Science, Cooking, Music, Movement, Art, Language Arts, and Math encourage the children to explore, discover, learn, and have fun! The program is taught by St. Matthew's Early Childhood teachers!

The Preschool Summer Enrichment Program

This program concentrates on making the transition from the toddler classroom to the Preschool classroom. Special emphasis is given to personal-social development and communication skills.

To be eligible for the Preschool Summer Program, children need to be 3 years of age by August 1, 2024. The program is not staffed or furnished to handle diaper changing. Thus, Preschool students in the summer program need to be reliable about taking care of their own toileting needs. The Pre-K Summer Enrichment Program

This program aims to enhance and expand a four and five-year-old’s previous school experience. Activities will be centered around meaningful, seasonal themes. Pre-K students have the option of attending Summer Enrichment in the morning from 8:45 - 11:30am, or they can extend their Pre-K adventures into the afternoon and join us for a Full Day program from 8:45am - 2pm. Both programs run Monday through Friday.

To participate in the Pre-K Summer Enrichment Program, children need to have had one year’s experience in a preschool program. Additionally, children must be 4 years of age by August 1, 2024. The program will be taught by St. Matthew's Pre-K teachers!
