just kids get out of school at 3:30 most of the parents of our kids in the program work until 6 or 7 a hole after school time at big gap to fill where are they going to go that's where Emily a comes in and lay is a warm welcoming place where kids can come and feel at home is such an inspiration to a lot of these first-generation kids don't have the support at home to be able to finish their homework the parents really want to help but many of them have no formal education let's be that bridge doesn't work semi tires have a better life than me books we have computers we have iPad and it's not just about doing their homework and why provides a lots of opportunities fun things to do to not only enrich their lives but to pick Pinterest yoga improv Adventure cards farming today on the after school hours were thinking a big picture they came here thinking that the world was really small I have a limited choice of Destiny never thought I could go to college the first time I heard I can get a college it was at and why it's important for students to people with similar backgrounds with. look like them who have goals Without Limits and being around other students with the same goals makes them work harder these kids are like me and so I can do if they can do how to make Nya even better we need to make it bigger we maxed out we're at capacity which is about 70 and I have these pants coming in almost every it's a space yet it's just based yet and I can fortunately there isn't and what about those kids who can't get into Nya Alternatives or not it could go from being with the wrong people that listen to bad choices whether they're bringing their neighborhood so they're supposed to and get a date street life drugs gel instead of the negative outcomes for pushing for the positive temping San Francisco State University of a Septa to San Francisco state Rhode Island School of Design Weekly Standard Australian UCLA UC Berkeley I want to go to Stanford we tried on are the kids and they Inspire us right back mechanical engineering social worker teacher nursing I would like to be a doctor of sometime how much is brain surgery brain surgeon that's awesome we're not just trying to help one kid one time we're trying to establish a self-sustaining ecosystem I am helping others I want to come back here and help I'm going to come back here and help I'm going to come back here now couldn't do this without your tremendous help and support and we want to say a big thank you thank you thank you together together together together we succeed together together together we succeed
