"Program for the Younger Set"

The Morning Program

8:45 - 11:50 am

Children entering Grades 1 and 2 in the fall will participate in a program designed to prepare them for the transition into Early Elementary School. Through games, projects, dramatic play, experiments, art, and writing, students will explore the world of literature and strengthen their problem solving and computational skills.

Students will spend their summer strategizing and stretching their teamwork skills as they rediscover familiar games and learn brand new games. Students will be encouraged to bring in games that they want to teach the class and play with their friends. Children will be able to play games that fit their unique style and taste and even design their own board game!

The Afternoon Program

11:50 am - 3 pm

During the afternoon program, students will participate in activities that will focus on the project based learning model. Hands-on activities will be based on themes and include arts and crafts, drama, puppetry, music, and movement. There will be plenty of time for outdoor play and group games. Students will also have an opportunity to swim in our fabulous outdoor pool, supervised by a certified lifeguard and classroom teachers.
