Biography

Ms. Evanilla is very excited to join the St. Matthew’s community after spending eleven years as a Learning Specialist at Mayfield Junior School. She holds a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University in Elementary and Special Education and an MA in Education with a Reading Specialist credential, along with an educational therapist credential. Ms. Evanilla began her career as a special education teacher in Philadelphia. She truly loves what she does from the “aha moment” to helping kids learn and grow; it brings a smile to her face each day. She looks forward to working as a team with the faculty, parents, and students. When she is not enjoying a good book, Ms. Evanilla enjoys traveling, hiking, and swimming.
