Biography

Ms. Luppen began teaching preschool at St. Matthew's in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Macalester College and her Master in Arts in Child Development at Tufts University. She taught preschool in the Boston area for 11 years before returning to her native Los Angeles. She strives to provide a nurturing and enriching environment in her classroom so that her young students develop a love of learning, a respect for others and an excitement for exploring and interacting with the world around them. Since 1991, Ms. Luppen has spent her summers as a counselor and area director at Camp Walt Whitman, a camp in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. While at camp, she loves to hike, swim, dance, make S’mores and especially to help first time campers and counselors to learn to love camp as much as she does!
