Ms. O’Keefe began her career at her alma mater, Marymount High School, where she taught History for Grades 9 and 10. Later, she moved to San Francisco to teach Social Studies at Convent of the Sacred Heart. Since returning to Los Angeles in 2010, she has taught Humanities at Wildwood School. During the course of her career, she has organized service-learning projects, coached tennis, and lead student trips around the world.
She earned her B.A. in History and Art History from U.C. Davis and an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, followed by a teaching credential at Loyola Marymount University. Currently, she’s working on a Project-Based Certification from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. She’s excited to rejoin the St. Matthew’s community, where she attended preschool and summer camp. September marks her 23rd year as a classroom teacher.
