(virtual) Campus Tours:
Guided campus tours will be offered on select Tuesdays and Thursdays for families applying to Grades Preschool-4. Families applying to Middle School (grades 5-8) will be offered virtual tours led by our Student Admission Ambassadors on select Wednesdays at 11 AM. Please see the scheduled dates and times for tours on the Admission Calendar page.
A pre-recorded tour of the campus is available if you are unable to attend one of our “live” campus tours. Please contact admission@stmatthewsschool.com for more information.
Early Childhood (Preschool & Pre-K)
For Preschool, students must turn 3 prior to August 1, 2021.
For Pre-K, students must turn 4 prior to August 1, 2021.
A requirement of the Early Childhood admission process is an observation of your child in a group setting. All Preschool applicants will attend one of several scheduled Preschool Playgroups during January. Pre-K applicants will attend a Playgroup in January. During a Playgroup, your child will join other applicants in the classroom setting with our Preschool teachers.
In addition to the Information Session and Campus Tour, we invite all parents of Preschool-Grade 4 applicants to come in for a Parent Interview with the Director of Enrollment. Interviews will be scheduled once the Application for Admission has been submitted.
Lower School (Kindergarten-Grade 4)
For Kindergarten, students must turn 5 prior to August 1, 2021.
Applicants to Kindergarten-Grade 4 are required to attend a virtual grade-level assessment session scheduled through your application portal checklist. This time will be spent in a virtual classroom setting and will allow teachers to get to know the students individually on a social and academic level. The morning is designed to replicate typical daily classroom activities.
In addition to the Information Session and Campus Tour, we invite all parents of Preschool-Grade 4 applicants to come in for a Parent Interview with the Director of Enrollment. Interviews will be scheduled once the Application for Admission has been submitted.
Middle School (Grades 5-8)
Applicants to Grades 5-8 and their parents are required to interview with Carinne Barker, Director of Enrollment. You will be able to schedule your interview once you have submitted the Application for Admission.
St. Matthew’s welcomes applications from qualified students at all grade levels. There are, however, several key entry points which include Preschool, and Grades 5-7. While openings at other grades are unpredictable and based on attrition, interested families are encouraged to apply. |
