Life After St. Matthew's School

At St. Matthew's Parish School, our secondary school process doesn't begin in 8th Grade but rather begins in 5th Grade and continues through 8th Grade. Each year consists of challenging academics, critical thinking, problem-solving, and bonding retreats that all contribute to and prepare our students for the next step in their education. 

Beginning in spring, our Secondary School Counseling Team meets with all rising 8th Grade families to discuss the school search process, provides information on secondary schools, and helps guide each family through the application process. Throughout May each family meets individually with the Counseling Team to discuss in more depth the path to pursue. 

The team's focus is to find the right school for each student. Our team also ensures that every school receives all transcripts, letters of recommendation, and any other credentials required promptly and are in place to support a family's journey every step of the way.
