When is the Fair?
Saturday, May 17th, 2008 from 10am to 4pm

What is the theme?
Town Fair.  There really isn't one beyond what it is - an old-fashioned, family, fun fair.
Red, white and blue.  Just think....hamburgers, hot dogs and strawberry shortcake.

What booths will be in the Preschool Yard this year?
- Candyland
- Peter's Pan Adventure
- Sports Walk
- Spin Art
- Ice-A-Cookie
- Petting Zoo
- Face Painting
- Fishing for Fun

How do I sponsor the Fair?
Buy a Family Package.  This is our most important profit center for this event. With every Family Package monies will go to the bottom line profit of this event. This is the BEST way to help us meet our FUND-raising goals.Within each Family Package level there are opportunities to designate your sponsorship contribution to a particular booth or activity.  Sponsorship recognition does not mean that you will automatically work the booth/area you sponsor, although your name will be associated with it.

What's the difference between sponsorship and underwriting?
Sponsorship contributions are made by buying a Family Package.
Underwriting is a voluntary contribution of goods and/or services to the Fair that you do not expect to be reimbursed for.  We welcome your generous contributions.

How does St. Matthew's make money at the Fair?
By your generous support of FAMILY PACKAGES, RAFFLE and FOOD.
These three areas are the way we make our profit.
Please remember it costs us $200. per child to put this event on for the day to just break even.

What is the Preschool wristband?
The Preschool wristband gives your preschooler access to all the Preschool booths for the entire day and any booths and/or activities on the Meadow and in Sprague where they meet the height and weight requirements.

You can EITHER purchase an individual Preschool Wristband on the A La Carte Order Form, OR if you purchase a Family Package, your All Day, All Access wristbands are included along with meal coupons and t-shirts for your ENTIRE family.

What is the family staffing requirement?
Each family is required to work a minimum of six hours or 2 shifts, except for families with Preschool ONLY children (28 families), they will be required to work ONLY 1 shift or 3 hours.

Staffing information and the sign up form can be found under the Staffing tab on the website and is available for sign-ups on April 15th.

What does a Preschool Booth chair do?
A Preschool booth chair is responsible for all of the preparation work including sourcing booth materials, prizes and decorations, set-up and break-down of the booth and overseeing the staffing. Each booth chair will be given a budget for their booth and must work with in that budget.  NO monies will be reimbursed for amounts over the budgeted amount.

Are there still opportunities to chair or sponsor something in the Preschool Yard?
Yes. Talk to Susan Prince, Head Preschool Room Parent.

When is the Preschool Yard set up?
The PS2 yard is available for set up beginning at NOON on Friday May 16th. The head PS Room Parent, Susan Prince, along with the PS Booth Chairs, will coordinate the set up and decorating of the PS yard.Preschool.htmlFamily_Packages.htmlFamily_Packages.htmlFamily_Packages.htmlRaffles.htmlFood.htmlPreschool_FAQ_files/TF%20A%20la%20Carte%20order%204-7.pdfPreschool_FAQ_files/TF%20A%20la%20Carte%20order%204-7.pdfFamily_Packages.htmlshapeimage_5_link_0shapeimage_5_link_1shapeimage_5_link_2shapeimage_5_link_3shapeimage_5_link_4shapeimage_5_link_5shapeimage_5_link_6shapeimage_5_link_7shapeimage_5_link_8
