Science teachers, and all interested educators are invited to learn the facts about climate change and energy issues directly from experts in the field. Dr. Tapio Schneider is a professor of Environmental Science and Engineering at Caltech.   Dr. David Goodstein is the Vice Provost and Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Caltech.  Dr. Goodstein was awarded the Oersted Medal of the American Association of Physics Teachers, has written numerous books, and he directed and hosted The Mechanical Universe television series.  Dr. Gregory Benford is a professor of physics at the University of California, Irvine. He is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, was Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University, and in 1995 received the Lord Prize for contributions to science.  Dr. Benford has published more than 20 books, and he has won both a Nebula Award and the United Nations Medal for Literature.
Lunch will be provided, followed by an optional screening of An Inconvenient Truth.  See the links above for more information.
